QA Test Engineer

We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. You should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills in this role. You will be highly competent in defining, maintaining, and executing test cases and passionate about quality.

Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly. You will have a solid software engineering background and be familiar with Java, Node JS, and Javascript. You will quickly, accurately, and securely execute and automate operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective QA strategies and test plans
• Take part in design and development meetings with an eye on testing and testability
• Expand existing unit tests to cover increased areas of functionality and testing to a deeper level
• Implement automated UI testing
• Identify and convert manual tests so they can be automated
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse the results
• Communicating test results to development for fixing
• Implement automated product health checks and status reporting
• Role would expand into
• Vulnerability testing and application performance monitoring
• Proactive monitoring and interpretation of system logs and APM (Dynatrace)
• Identify what is normal and abnormal operation of our systems and alert when abnormal
• Provide Level 2 technical support

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Experience in Quality Assurance testing methodology
• Good knowledge of Java, NodeJS, and Javascript
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Problem-solving attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Team spirit
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
